Visit the Big Mango

No trip to Bowen is complete without visiting the iconic Big Mango. Erected in 2002, this 10-metre-tall sculpture stands proudly at the Bowen Visitor Information Centre, depicting the famous Kensington Pride mango, also known as a Bowen Special. The Big Mango has a colourful history, having gone missing twice and sparking debates over whether its colours are displayed upside down. Don’t forget to grab a refreshing mango sorbet from the information centre and chat with the friendly staff.
