The day begins bright and early at Port of Airlie at 7:15am, from here you board the modern and fully-airconditioned vessel and set out towards Whitsunday Island and Whitehaven Beach.
Cruising at a fast yet comfortable rate, the vessel steams through the Whitsunday Islands until the long stretch of white silica sand appears ahead, its glimmering white strip indicating you’ve arrived at Whitehaven Beach.
Disembarking the big cruiser ship, you start your journey to Whitsunday Island with a trip to the beach’s northern end on a smaller boat. At the northern end you are guided on a relaxing and easy 1.3km walking trail to the famous and beautiful Hill Inlet lookout. Here, you get an aerial view of the spirals of sand and turquoise ocean, their beauty far surpassing any image you’ve previously scene in photos.
At Hill Inlet enjoy the picture-perfect postcard view of Whitehaven. With three viewing lookouts, you’re sure to snap this memorable moment to make everyone envious of your adventure. After Hill Inlet Lookout be whisked away back to Whitehaven Beach on the same boat and soak in the glorious white sand of Whitehaven as you ride alongside. On Whitehaven Beach you’re free to do whatever you’d like. Explore the 7km long Whitehaven Beach, embrace the tracks and visit the Whitehaven Beach lookout, play some beach cricket, relax on the sand, or swim in the ocean of the world’s most famous beach.
Included in Cruise Whitsundays Whitehaven Beach & Hill Inlet Chill & Grill day trip is a delicious lunch served right on the beach. Burger, wraps, salad, the choice is yours! Lunch includes one soft drink and alcoholic drinks can be purchased too.
