Escape To Italy With Toscana

If you’re craving a taste of Tuscany, Toscana brings the heart of Italian charm right to your doorstep. With its stunning yellow stone walls, Mediterranean red-tiled roofs, and lush exotic plants set against the serene backdrop of Airlie Beach’s glistening blue seas, Toscana truly feels like a Tuscan dream.
Your experience doesn’t stop at the resort’s exterior, however, as the beautifully designed 26 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom sea-view apartments with their crisp white interiors and cool stoned floors allow you to unwind in unparalleled luxury.
Each apartment hosts its own private balcony with outdoor seating for you to entertain or sit and enjoy a quiet wine, whilst you watch the paradisical boats pass by on the crystal-clear waters of Airlie Beach.
The gorgeous apartments are fully equipped with everything you need for a self-sufficient and relaxing stay, from a washing machine to a microwave and oven, the resort’s apartments have it all.
Thinking of brining a car or bike with you? Toscana has you covered with each individual apartment having its own lock-up garage located directly below.
Situated just a short stroll from Airlie Beach, the resort is in prime location for you to enjoy your time in The Whitsundays, with shops, restaurants and attractions just a stone’s throw away, you will truly see what Airlie Beach has to offer.
The resort boasts four splashtastic pools spread across cascading levels. At the highest level, you’ll find a more secluded area with a private pool, with a tiered seating area, perfect for unwinding and socialising.
From the top level, a stunning waterfall cascades down to the second level, where a deep plunge pool awaits you. Adjacent to this pool is a shaded lounge area, offering a tranquil retreat for reading or relaxing in Queensland’s glorious sunshine. Some of the pools stand out with their unique themes, such as a Doctor Who-inspired pool that features a whimsical Tardis-themed restroom. This creative touch offers a delightful experience for children and families.
Toscana, built in 1999 by the same developer behind the other hotels and resorts on the street, has maintained its original Tuscan theme that the designer intended.
Josephine Matthews and David Cummings acquired the management rights for Toscana in 2007, after relocating from Cairns. The pair chose to return to Airlie Beach, where they had previously worked on Hook Island in the early 1980s. Josephine and David have been in the hotel industry for over 30 years, and have great knowledge about the industry, and, will make sure your stay in The Whitsundays is a memorable one.
In Toscana, Josephine stated that their apartments are “like your own home,” so you do not have to worry about housekeeping disruptions unless you request it!
Toscana boasts a really homely but luxurious atmosphere, making it the perfect home away from home, in one of the most spectacular locations Australia has to offer.
Stone cobbled stairs lead to the quaint reception area, where you'll discover a variety of brochures for tours, all available for direct booking. As you browse through your options, you'll be greeted with a warm welcome from Josephine or David, before being shown to your apartment.
So, what are you waiting for? Grab your friends and family and head on down to the Italy of Australia, while you enjoy a much-needed break in a stunning location, away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life.
“Get your friends and family to visit Toscana and Airlie Beach,” Josephine emphasised.
